World Autism Awareness Month

17 April 2026

April marks World Autism Awareness Month, a time to recognise, celebrate and support people on the autism spectrum, while fostering greater understanding and inclusion within our communities.

Across our shopping centre, we are proud to create environments where everyone feels welcome, comfortable and supported. We understand that for individuals with sensory sensitivities, visiting a busy retail space can sometimes feel overwhelming. That’s why we’ve taken steps to make the experience more accessible for all.

Our centres feature dedicated sensory maps, developed in collaboration with Aspect Australia. These maps provide helpful insights into the sensory environment of each centre, highlighting quieter areas and offering guidance to help visitors plan their journey with confidence.

In addition, we are proud to be Sunflower Friendly centres. The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard is a discreet way for customers to indicate they may need extra support, understanding or time during their visit. Lanyards are available at our Centre Management Offices for those who wish to use them.

World Autism Awareness Month is an important reminder of the role we all play in building inclusive communities. Whether it’s through awareness, understanding or small acts of kindness, we can all contribute to making a positive difference.

We invite our community to join us in supporting inclusion this April and beyond — because everyone deserves to feel welcome.
